Offers Companion Online Program on Effective Management
December 1, 2005
MindEdge Press today announced the publication of Principles of Management by Harvard Business School professor D. Quinn Mills, a book which offers practical guidance for managers within today’s complex organizations.
The 394-page book can also be enhanced by employing the companion MindEdge online program, “Effective Management.” The program expands on the book’s major themes and provides interactive exercises, additional readings, and tools for management self-assessment and development. The “Effective Management” program is available to higher education, corporate education or continuing education organizations looking to build essential general management skills and competencies.
Principles of Management addresses several key questions that managers face: How can they be more effective? Which managerial styles work best? How can managers empower those who they direct? Principles of Management shares years of experience and expertise in a readily accessible framework, with a focus on the human side of management. Dr. Mills outlines tactics and techniques for effective and ethical management, drawing and highlighting the key distinctions between the skills needed for management and those called for by leadership in an organization.
“We’re delighted to publish Quinn Mills’ latest book,” said Jefferson Flanders, President of MindEdge and Managing Director of MindEdge Press. “Principles of Management and its companion online program represent what we regard as innovative next generation learning content, developed with adult learners in mind.”
