MindEdge Press Publishes Creativity & Innovation: Adrian Brown’s Consideration of the Innovation Process
February 15, 2007
Author Adrian Brown’s Creativity & Innovation, a book considering the entire innovation process and how to unlock the creativity in individuals and organizations, has been published by MindEdge Press.
Creativity & Innovation looks at the generation of ideas, traces the process by which those ideas are turned into new products, business practices and strategies, and reviews the commercialization stage where shareholder value is created. Creativity & Innovation considers real life innovation examples from companies such as 3M, GE, IDEO, Kodak, Li & Fung, Lockheed Martin, McKinsey, NASA, Nucor, P&G, Southwest Airlines, Toyota, Wikipedia, and Zipcar.
Brown brings his experience as a consultant and advisor in both the public and private sectors to bear in Creativity & Innovation. A former advisor to British Prime Minister Tony Blair covering a wide range of policy areas including health and transport, Brown helped to develop the innovative performance management system used by the government to improve public sector performance. Before his government service, Brown was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, with clients in industries including financial services, retail, media, and transport.
“Adrian Brown’s new book on creativity and innovation offers a focused introduction to the topic,” said Jefferson Flanders, president of MindEdge and managing director of MindEdge Press. “Creativity & Innovation can help all those looking to encourage creativity in their organizations.”
Creativity & Innovation can also be enhanced by employing the companion MindEdge “Creativity & Innovation” program, which expands on the book’s major themes and provides interactive exercises, additional readings, and offers learners hands-on exercises to spur personal creativity.
Creativity & Innovation will also be published in translation by MindEdge’s Japanese partner, First Press (Tokyo).
