MindEdge launches “Transitions at Work” learning resource and community website
April 30, 2007
MindEdge has launched Transitions at Work, a learning resource designed to help people and organizations navigate career and life transitions.
Transitions at Work includes a website, TransitionsatWork.com, featuring MindEdge content, advice from practitioners and academic experts, Top Ten Tips for given topics, member discussion, and community features (including member rating of videos and interactive exercises). Membership in the Transitions at Work community site will be free.
Corporations, professional firms, and associations can arrange for closed communities with instant chat, a searchable database, and additional content tailored to transition challenges their staffs may face.
Some of the transitions topics covered by Transitions at Work include:
- Becoming a manager
- Moving from manager to leader
- Leading a team
- Leading change
- Managing in a new organization
- Handling job loss
- Balancing career and life
These topics, and more, are addressed with pertinent information drawn from MindEdge’s library of business, management, and communications content, from MindEdge Press books, and from video interviews with practitioners, academics, and managers.
“We have developed ‘Transitions at Work’ to meet the needs of those in career transition,” said Jefferson Flanders, president of MindEdge. “Our new website, TransitionsatWork.com, will start with a healthy base of MindEdge content; we look to member contributions to enrich the site with their experience. We see this an opportunity to engage, inform, and offer solutions for some of the challenges in today’s workplace.”
Flanders said that TransitionsatWork.com would not initially include advertising, but that sponsorship of the site would be considered in the future.
