MindEdge Launches Modular College Humanities Program

October 29, 2012

MindEdge has expanded its offerings to higher education partners with the addition of a new college-level Humanities program. This next-generation of online learning is a modular program that can be employed as one six-semester hour course or as two three-semester hour courses.

Humanities Through the Ages aligns with the standards set by the College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP). It has been developed and reviewed by experienced college instructors and benefits from MindEdge’s experience with educating adult learners and students over the past decade through online courses and simulations. Colleges and universities have the option to offer the Humanities program through MindEdge’s LMS or the courses can be integrated into all major learning management systems.

MindEdge’s online Humanities Through the Ages can be accessed from any computer, iPad, or tablet with an Internet connection and do not require textbooks. All supporting artwork, literature, media, and articles can be accessed within the course. Mobile apps allow access from smart phones.

MindEdge’s Online College Courses (OCC) are instructor-ready with assessments, essay prompts, and discussion questions. The Humanities course contains hundreds of works of art which lend themselves well to the online format. Interactive games, activities, and videos help students master key terminology, concepts, and gain an appreciation for the humanities.

Schools can choose to purchase a license to offer MindEdge courses with pricing based on a per-student-fee, or have students pay a $99 access fee for the MindEdge course (just as if they were purchasing a textbook).
