Business Communications Courses for Project Managers Now Available
Project managers can now earn Project Management Institute professional development units (PDUs) by successfully completing MindEdge’s two online business communications courses. PDUs allow PMI credential holders to maintain their credential.
MindEdge’s Effective Business Writing and Effective Presentations courses are offered through MindEdge Online and through many of the company’s project management training partners. These courses focus on clear and concise communication in written and oral formats–critical factors for the success of a project. Learners achieve 5 PDUs upon successful completion of either course. Effective Business Writing offers instruction on crafting many of the most common communication formats in a project, including memos, reports, and proposals. Topics include formal and informal outlining techniques, using e-mail appropriately in an organizational setting, and revising for wordiness, unnecessary phrases, redundancy, and jargon.
Effective Presentations helps learners, and project managers, organize, structure, and create effective presentations. Since many organizations use PowerPoint as a way of communicating information in a project, this course offers advice and guidance on the most effective and persuasive uses of PowerPoint.
